Liver and Onions
It's not everyone's favourite, but it is mine and my birthday dinner request every year.
Ingredients
- 1 lbs of bacon strips
- 2 lbs of liver
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp of butter
- Vinegar
- Flour
Instructions
- Cook bacon strips.
- Saute onions in butter.
- Cut large pieces of liver in half.
- Dip liver in vinegar, then flour, and then fry in butter until light brown.
- Place onions on the bottom of a casserole dish and place the liver on top, put bacon strips on top and between layers.
- Bake in the oven at 300°F for 20 to 30 minutes to finish cooking.
