Woodworking Projects
This section includes the original concept sketches for the projects I've built. Given the roughness of the sketches, you'd never know I spent four years in university taking drawing classes. Sketching my designs helps me visualize the project and how the pieces fit together. I tend to start with a rough sketch and measurements and then refine them as I proceed with the build. I have the luxury of building furniture for myself and at my own pace. I'm not tied to a deadline or forced to consider cost and time efficiency as if I were doing woodworking for a living. At some point, I may try using a computer-aided design (CAD) program like SketchUp but until then my rough sketches will have to do.
